雷秀娟,陕西西安人,教授(2012-),博士生导师(2013-)。2005.5以人才引进方式到伟德betvlctor体育官网任教。于2001.4、2005.5在西北工业大学获得工学硕士和博士学位,2005.6-2007.12在西北工业大学控制科学与工程博士后流动站工作。2009.10-2010.10在State University of New York at Buffalo,USA计算机科学与工程系访问(国家留基委公派访问学者)。2013.9-2014.8在北京大学信息科学技术学院访问(教育部青年骨干访问学者)。2014.12-2019.12任伟德betvlctor体育官网副院长。2019.12-2020.12在Georgia State University,USA计算机科学系访问(国家留基委公派访问学者)。曾去日本、新西兰、葡萄牙等国家进行学术交流。近年来连续入选斯坦福大学发布的全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单。主持国家自然科学基金4项,省部级项目3项,在SCI期刊发表研究论文100余篇,科学出版社出版专著2部,在John Wiley & Sons, Inc.、IGI Global和IET分别出版图书章节,授权国家发明专利10项,登记软件著作权20项,以第一完成人身份获陕西高等学校科学技术奖(自然科学奖)一等奖1项、陕西省科学技术奖(自然科学奖)二等奖1项。研究方向:人工智能、生物信息计算、智能优化、图机器学习、深度学习、数据挖掘。

英文简介
Dr. Xiujuan Lei is presently a Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Computer Science, Shaanxi Normal University in Xi’an, China. She obtained her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2001 and 2005 respectively. She was promoted to associate professor in 2006 and then advanced to full professor in 2012, furthermore, she became eligible to supervise doctoral students at Shaanxi Normal University in 2013. From 2014 to 2019, she held the position of vice dean at the School of Computer Science.
She was a visiting scholar at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, State University of New York at Buffalo from 2009 to 2010, then at the School of Information Science and Technology, Peking University from 2013 to 2014, and later at the Department of Computer Science, Georgia State University in the US during 2019 - 2020. Her international academic visits to Japan, New Zealand and Portugal have broadened her horizons and enhanced her research perspectives.
She serves as a standing committee member of the Bioinformatics and Artificial Life Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), a standing committee member of the Bioinformatics Committee of the China Computer Federation (CCF), a member of the Theoretical Computer Science Committee of CCF, a member of Intelligent Health and Bioinformatics Committee of Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), a standing committee member of Biomedical Data Mining and Computing Committee of Chinese Society for Bioinformatics (CSB), a member of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Committee of Chinese Society of Biotechnology (CSBT), etc. She is also a distinguished member of CCF, a senior member of CAAI, a member of IEEE, ACM, SIGBIO, CAA and CSBT.
She serves as Editorial Board Member of “IEEE-ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics”, “Chinese Journal of Electronics”, “Big Data Mining and Analytics”, “Interdisciplinary Sciences: Computational Life Sciences” and “Computational Biomedicine”, Youth Editorial Board Member of “Frontiers of Computer Science” and “CAAI Artificial Intelligence Research”. She served as publicity chair or session chair and delivered speeches at many international conferences.
She has been granted four projects by the National Natural Science Foundation. She has published more than 100 research papers, which has received international recognition by her inclusion in the top 2% of global scientists list in recent years released by Stanford University of USA. She published 2 monographs “Artificial Intelligence and its Application in Bioinformatics” in 2023 and “Swarm Intelligence Optimization Algorithm and Its Application” in 2012 at China Science Publishing & Media Ltd, and published several book chapters in John Wiley & Sons, Inc., IGI Global and IET, respectively. She has won the Science and Technology Award of Shaanxi Universities (First Prize of Natural Science Award), the Science and Technology Award of Shaanxi Province (Second Prize of Natural Science Award).
Till now, 15 of her graduate students have won the National Scholarship of which 3 received financial support from CSC simultaneously to pursue doctoral degrees abroad and 1 of them passed CSC doctoral exchange program. Many of her graduate students are pursuing doctoral degrees in top universities in China such as Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University and Beijing Institute of Technology, etc. Some have been to work in IT companies such as ThoughtWorks, Tencent Cloud Computing Xi'an Co., Ltd, etc. Furthermore, 2 of her graduate students received the 1st Excellent master's thesis of Shaanxi Computer Society in 2020. 1 graduate student won Excellent Graduates of Shaanxi province in 2023.
Her current research interests mainly include artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, intelligent computing, graph machine learning, deep learning and data mining.
